“One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star.”

— Friedrich Nietzsche

It is okay to feel chaotic in oneself and guarded to bring those parts of yourself into any space, even a therapeutic one. I know it can be scary. Therapy with me is collaborative;  nurturing a space that feels brave, nonjudgmental, and warm for you. I would love to know what feels important to you. I want to help you feel as seen and supported as possible.

My clinical belief is that the journey we embark on will involve emotional challenges, which may come with pain and sorrow, alongside realization and compassion. To experience the healing we seek, we want to make room for emotions, thoughts, and experiences that are uncomfortable and hurtful. I would love to go on this journey with you.

I identify as a queer therapist who originated from Taiwan. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. My cultural background and experiences working with diverse populations tailor my clinical approach from a culturally competent, trauma-informed, and person-centered lens. It allows me to tune in to clients from all walks of life with genuine curiosity and empathy.

I am an integrative clinician and work with individuals, intimate relationships, and families, including but not limited to LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations. We may carry unfinished questions from systems around us, such as our upbringings, community, or society. In therapy, we will work toward unpacking them and see what is underneath. By embracing vulnerability, I believe the power of therapy will bring us empowerment, courage, and compassion. I trust that these elements build our strengths as we attend to the unresolved.

In my spare time, I lead my life in a somatic and relational way. I like to connect my mind and body through movements such as yoga. I read and go on long walks to process thoughts and feelings. I am also learning, experimenting with ways to navigate internal chaos and life challenges. I cherish little moments in life and the opportunity to grow from my personal relationships.

I provide therapy in both English and Mandarin. Therapeutic relationships and the goodness of fit is the key for us to connect meaningfully. Please feel free to reach out for a free initial consultation or to schedule a first session. I look forward to connecting with you!
